Summit & Main Street Intersection Opens Friday

Maquoketa City Manager Josh Boldt announced that the long-awaited reopening of the Summit Street and Main Street intersection is expected to happen sometime tomorrow.

The intersection has been closed since early May for construction aimed at widening the road. The project’s main goal was to improve safety and ease traffic flow, especially for larger vehicles like semi-trucks and school buses, making their turns much easier and safer.
