Hormel Recalls Dinty Moore Beef Stew

Hormel Foods Corporation has issued a major recall involving more than 256,000 pounds of its Dinty Moore Beef Stew. The concern? Some cans may contain a foreign contaminant—specifically, wood.
The recall impacts 20-ounce cans of the stew that were produced on February 4th, 2025. The affected cans are marked with a “BEST BY FEB 2028” date and a lot code of T02045. They also bear the establishment number “EST 199G.”
Hormel says the problem was brought to their attention after three customers reported finding pieces of wood in their stew. So far, no injuries have been reported, but the company is urging consumers not to take any chances.
If you have a can that matches this description, Hormel advises you to either throw it away or return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
