Davenport Man Charged For Conspiracy to Hand Out Meth

A Davenport man will spend two decades behind bars for his role in a major meth distribution ring in the Quad Cities. 26-year-old Jason Douglas Ringold has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. That’s according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa. Following his prison time, Ringold will serve five years of supervised release. Authorities say that while on parole, Ringold distributed more than 10 pounds of meth and illegally possessed and sold firearms. Court records also show that he worked alongside two other Quad Cities men — Ross Tate, 40, and Kyle Ogden Antle, 23 — in the drug operation. In March, Antle was also handed a 20-year federal sentence for his role. This case is part of an ongoing effort by federal and local agencies to crack down on drug trafficking in the region.
