La Motte Basketball Court Getting Updated

In La Motte, a community project is taking shape.

According to a recent Facebook post from the La Motte Area Advancement group, the organization—along with the City of La Motte—is moving ahead with plans to refurbish the town’s basketball court. The upgrade will include brand new concrete, a new fence, and an added bonus—a pickleball court.

A few pieces of new playground equipment have also been purchased and will be installed near the court, creating a refreshed recreation space for families and kids to enjoy.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the summer.

Organizers thanked the community for supporting fundraising events, saying it’s the continued generosity of local residents that makes projects like this possible.
