Authorities say a motorcycle and a car collided around 9:44 p.m. yesterday at 1402 9th Street SE in Dyersville. Multiple agencies responded, including the Dubuque and Delaware County Sheriff’s Offices, Dyersville Police and Fire, and Bi-County Ambulance.
Investigators say the car was heading north and attempted to turn left when it struck a southbound motorcycle. The motorcyclist was rushed to a local hospital and later airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car sustained only minor injuries.
At this time, names have not been released, and the crash remains under investigation.
