Jackson County Dust Control

It’s that time of year where county residents who use dust control need to be getting signed up with secondary roads. The Jackson County Dust Control season is May 1st through September 30th.  Since Jackson County doesn’t apply dust control material on county roads, they realize that for personal reasons a citizen may wish to apply dust control at their own cost. The permit had to be submitted by the 15th for the first application. The applicator list is due on May 1st with the application treatment starting on May 10th. The last day to apply the treatment will be on May 20th. There is also a second application that will start in July. Now the public will have to mark the road with flags of where the applicator is to apply the product and it reminds the county garter operator where it is. However if the road has a pothole or washboards then the county will have to come in and blade the road.
