An investigation of the April 1st incident by the Jackson County Sheriff’s office and the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s Division of Criminal Investigation has resulted in a filing of criminal charges against Mitchell Hankemeier 25 of Maquoketa. Hankemeier is charged with 1st Degree Burglary, obstruction of Emergency of Communications, and Domestic Abuse Assault impleading blood or air flow.
