Field Fire in Camanche

Multiple fire crews worked to put out a field fire in Camanche on Tuesday. The fire was off Highway 30 and Dunn Street. Officials with the Camanche Fire Department said the fire started as a controlled burn but spread to large piles of cut-down trees.

Fire departments from all over the county were called in for water. Multiple agencies responded to the fire, including the Camanche police and fire departments, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s office. Officials said the bus barn was next door, and the buses were not in danger. The extent of the damage is unknown.
