DeWitt Recovery Group Suffers Funding Cuts

A local peer recovery group is looking for answers after federal funding cuts. Life Connections Peer Recovery Services is a non-for-profit that supports people experiencing mental health and substance abuse issues out of Clinton and DeWitt. Executive Director Todd Noack said the organization was notified Friday that their COVID funds are gone due to the recent cuts. He said those funds contributed to 50 percent of the group’s income. Life Connections is the only respite in Iowa. Noack said the organization has served 668 people since opening in 2018.
