Manufacturing Drive Road Construction

Clinton city officials and community members broke ground Monday on a nearly $40 million dollar roadway improvement plan. The “Prosperity Drive” Project makes changes to Manufacturing Drive and Bluff Boulevard. Safety is the main goal of the renovation. The city reported Manufacturing Drive saw an average of nearly 30 crashes per year over the last decade. Renovations started yesterday with changes to the south bridge near Nestle Purina. Other construction includes widening and realigning intersections, adding turning lanes and changing two and four lanes sections of Manufacturing Drive into a three-way street. A roundabout will be added to the intersection of South 19th Street.
