Fire Danger Continues for Friday

We also have wind advisory in effect for the entire KMAQ listening area. This will be in effect from 1:00 PM Friday until 1:00 AM Saturday. Winds could gust as high as 50 MPH. Along with the very windy conditions and with it being very dry, there is a continued fire risk for the area. Now because of the fire danger weather service has now issued a Fire Weather Watch from 1 PM  until 8 PM Friday. They say that any dry grass or brush fires that ignite will have the potential to quickly spread out of control. So remember to properly discard cigarettes and use caution with heavy equipment. There are a couple of burn bans in effect for Jackson and Clinton Counties until further notice.
