Action on Residential entrance permit for Amanda Hunt Maquoketa Township. Section 4 233rd Avenue, approved

Action on underground utility permit for Maquoketa Valley , Butler Township, section 36 South Garryowen Road, Overhead permit, approved.

Update–we had a pre construction meeting for the Z34 overlay with the contractors and DOTand the work will begin in April. Bridge approve first, the concrete road closure, then asphalt follow weeks after spring Z34 from Preston City Limits to the Damon Bridge.

Visitors– Randy Rowan and his wife received a letter from a developer stated they want to place a Bitcoin mining facility 600 feet from  their property.  They were on vacation when the zoning meeting was presented and when they returned they did the research and are concerned with the noise and tremendous amount of power that the facility south of the substation, which is 5 to 600 feet from their home.  Lori  Roling stated the zoning meeting is on March 10th, and will have more information available.

It’s a program that helps with training and can provide grants and other resources for us as we move forward as a historic preservation commission and that the Board for your financial support of the site assessment  for the historic insane asylum to get many of our projects done in our work plan  and request approval of this 2024 annual report and ask the Board chair signature approval… approve
