In the Iowa District Court in and for Jackson County

On February 14,  this matter comes before the court for sentencing.  The Defendant, Ilander, Ilai, is charged with OWI- 1st offense, pleads guilty, and is placed on unsupervised probation for a term of one year. Defendant is ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment.  A hearing on Unsupervised Probation is scheduled on February 21st, 2025 at the Jackson County Courthouse. Bond is set at $1,000 dollar cash or surety.

On February 17th, this matter comes before the Court for sentencing.  The Defendant, Shawn Christiansen, appeared by counsel,  on the charge and pleads guilty to theft–5th degree.  Probation is denied.  Bond on appeal is set at $300 dollars cash only. 

On February 17th,  the Defendant, Duane Ernest, appears in custody on the charge on public intoxication. The defendant pleads not guilty; therefore, a non jury trial is scheduled on March 13th, 2025 at 1:30pm at the Jackson County Courthouse.  The Defendant is released upon posting $300 dollars cash or surety.
