Flu activity being high

According to the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, flu activity in Iowa i s “very high.”.  The CDC says during the first week of February more than 50,000 people were admitted into the hospital with the flu.  According to the report, during the first week of February 10% of hospital admission was because of the flu.  According to the Iowa Respiratory Virus Surveillance Report, across Iowa positive flu test are more than 10% higher than last year and during the first week of February 174 schools in Iowa reported 10% or more students being out due to being sick.
