Winter Storm To Bring Our First Significant Snowfall of The Season

With snow on the way, The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has now issued a Winter Storm Warning for the entire KMAQ listening area. This will be in effect from 6 AM Wednesday until 3 AM Thursday.  According to the weather service we are expected to get 4-9 inches of light fluffy snow.

The weather service is saying that travel will be hazardous and to plan ahead. Make sure to have a flashlight, blanket and other warm clothing, kitty litter or sand, a phone charger, and a full tank of gas in your car tomorrow. If you have to be out, take your time and break early.

You can monitor road conditions by downloading the 511 Iowa DOT app or call 511 or visit the Iowa DOT website, and of course we will keep you up to date on KMAQ, on air and online.
