On January 24th, the Defendant, James Jones, pleads guilty to the charges of burglary–4rd degree, and assault. The Defendant is committed to the custody of the Iowa Department of Corrections.
On January 24th, this matter comes before the Court for sentencing. The Defendant, Benjamin Schutterle, pleads guilty to possession of marijuana–1st offense, and is placed on unsupervised probation for a term of one year. A hearing of Unsupervised Probation is scheduled on January 23rd, 2026 at 11am at the Jackson County Courthouse. Bond on appeal is set at $1,000 cash only.
On January 28th, The Defendant’s, Michael Hasken, counsel will be out of town and requests hearing continued to February 14th , 2025 at 11am. The County Attorney’s office has no objection. The Defendant is charged with operating while under the influence–2nd offence, from an incident which occurred on December 19th, 2022, at 9:32am
