In the Iowa District Court in and for Jackson County:

On January 21st,  the Defendant, Kristin Morriss, of Maquoketa, appears in person, on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, from an incident which occurred on November 23rd, 2024 at 7:29pm.  The Defendant pleads not guilty; therefore, a Pretrial Conference is scheduled on February 13th 2025 at 2pm at the Jackson County Courthouse.

On January 21st, at 11:25am,  the Defendant, Alexander Koontz, of Anamosa,  is charged with driving while license is denied or revoked, and eluding speed over 25 mph over the limit. 

On January 21st,  the Defendant, John Cooper, of Maquoketa,  appears in person on the charge of false report to public entity, from an incident which occurred on December 26th, 2024 at 1:16am.  The Defendant pleads not guilty; therefore, a Pretrial Conference is scheduled on February 11th, 2025 at 2pm at the Jackson County Courthouse.
