Ora Pearl Eggers

Ora Pearl Eggers, 90, of Clinton, Iowa passed away, surrounded by family, at the Eagle Point Nursing Home on Sunday, January 4, 2025. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with a burial taking place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is honored to serve the family of Ora Eggers during this difficult time.

Ora was born May 3, 1934 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan the daughter of Floyd and Ubalda (Rabineau) Black.

Ora was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Law on December 23rd, 1954, until his passing in 1967. She later married Walter (Bill) Eggers on 20th Dec. 1969, he passed away in Jan 1990.

Ora loved to spend time playing cards with friends, hunting for treasures at garage sales, or cheering on her favorite baseball team the Yankees. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family very much and will be incredibly missed.

Ora is survived by her children: Kathy LaJoie of Mobile, AL, Douglas (Irene) Law of Champaign, Il, Valerie Drury of Clinton, Iowa, Karen (James) Sprakties of Peoria, IL, Denise (Louie Thompson) of Elm Grove, LA, Kimberly Shady of Clinton, IA, Marilee Spear of Joplin, MO, Kevin (Jennifer Soesbe) of Galena Territories, Il, William (Kelli) Eggers of Delmar, IA: stepchildren – Darcie (Brian) Rooney of Pumpkin Center, NC, Steve (Liz) Eggers of Davenport, IA, and Bret Eggers of Minnesota; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren. One brother- Joseph (Joe) and wife Phyllis of Janesville, WI: Sister-in-law Barb Black of Farmington, Iowa, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Ora in death were her parents, husbands (Robert and Walter): two brothers Richard and Ronald Black; sisters Bertha King and Erma Yarolem; brother-in-law Marvin Yarolem, sister-in-laws Shirley Black, Doris (Page)Paxton and Shirley Peek; two sons-in-law George (Terry) La Joie and Bruce Drury and one granddaughter- Carissa Morales.
