In the Iowa District Court in and for Jackson County:

On January 1st, the Defendant, Zander Halverson, of Maquoketa, appears in custody on the charges of minor armed with dangerous weapon, possession or carrying of dangerous weapons while under the influence, and operating while under the influence–1st offense, from an incident which occurred on January 1st, 2025 early morning.  A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled on January 9th, 2025 at 2:30pm at the Jackson County Courthouse. The Defendant is released upon posting $2,000 dollars cash only.

On January 2nd, the Defendant, Claude Monroe, Jr., of Maquoketa, is charged with controlled substance violation, and failure to affix drug stamp, from an incident which occurred on December 25th, 2024 at 11:20pm.  A hearing on Arraignment is scheduled on January 17th, 2025 at 8:45am at the Jackson County Courthouse.

On January 2nd, this matter comes before the Court for sentencing the Defendant, Joshua Grigg, of Maquoketa, appeared in person on the charge interference with official acts, from an incident which occurred on August 7th, 2024 at 9:36pm.  The Defendant was found guilty, and a review hearing is scheduled for January 6th, 2026 at 1:05pm at the Jackson County Courthouse. Bond of appeal is set at $500 dollars cash only.
