Wesley Spotts arrested

Bettendorf man faces several charges after a stabbing at a Davenport Walmart Saturday afternoon.

Wesley E. Spotts, 58, of Bettendorf, is charged with attempted murder, willful injury, going armed with intent, and assault with intent to commit serious injury.

According to police, around 3:45, officers found a 24-year-old man with multiple stab wounds at the Walmart on Elmore Avenue in Davenport.

Officials said an initial investigation found that an argument between Spotts and the man escalated prior to the stabbing.

The man has not been identified and his condition is unknown.
