Freezing Rain Safety Tips

With Freezing rain in our forecast here are some tips to stay safe during freezing rain events. 

Drive slow if the roadways look wet as that could be black ice. When driving avoid any sudden maneuvers to avoid sliding around. Start slowing down before you come to a stop sign or a traffic light. Reminder to try to keep your pets inside during a freezing rain event. Take time to salt your sidewalks ,and driveways when it is safe to do so. Also report any down power lines to local officials so they can get them repaired. If you don’t have to be out, stay home.
