On the Police and Sheriff’s call log

On December 4th, at 12:26pm,  Miles and Preston Fire Departments  were in route to a structural fire on 3937  148th Street, Bryant.  The female resident was out of the home, coughing badly from smoke inhalation.  Clinton  notified paramedic assistance.  Preston Ambulance, Goose Lake and Charlotte Fire Departments  were dispatched.  By 1:27pm the fire trucks were back at the station.

On December 4th, at 2:58pm, there was a field fire, which was lit on Sunday, began to smolder.  Miles and Preston Fire Departments responded.  No injuries reported.

On December 4th, at 2:40pm,  a large tree covered the sidewalk near 1st ward park on 300 East Quarry Street.

On December 4th, at 3:22pm,  a 2008 Chevy Equinox and a Toyota were involved in a two motor vehicle.  No injuries reported.  Maquoketa Police Officers responded. 

On December 4th, at 4:53pm, behind the Riverview Chiropractic, located on 111 State Street, wires were hanging down near the vehicles. An Officer responded.

On December 4th, at 5:35pm,  a large tree was across the Highway on 150th Street/ 317th Avenue. An Officer responded.

On December 4th, at 6:32pm,  old hay bales were smoldering near a barn located on 85th Street.  Maquoketa Fire Department responded.  No injuries reported.

On December 4th, at 9:14pm,  there was a gas smell in a house located on 110 North Niagara Street.  Maquoketa Fire Department and Police Officers responded.
