In the Iowa District in and for Jackson County

On December 2nd, at 11:53am,  Officer Paulsen  responded to 503-6 North Otto Street for a report of a Domestic Assault,  The Defendant, Jason Hamilton, of Maquoketa, and the victim got into a verbal argument that turned physical.  While the Defendant was detained, and searched, he admitted to having a one clear glass hitter pipe to ingest THC metabolites in his left pocket.  The pipe had a burned green leafy residue.  The Defendant was charged with domestic abuse assault–1st offense, possession of controlled substance–marijuana–3rd offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On December 2nd, the Defendant, Kristin Morriss, of Maquoketa is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, from an incident which occurred on November 23rd, at 7:29pm.   A Non Jury Trial is scheduled for December 17th, 2024, but two of the State’s  witnesses are unavailable.  The State requests the Non Jury Trial be reset for January 9th, 2025 at 1:30pm at the Jackson County Courthouse.

On December 2nd,  the Defendant. Joel Gritzinger, of Bellevue, is charged with domestic abuse assault–1st offense, from an incident which occurred on September 4th, 2024 at 9:07am.  The No Contact Order issued against Defendant on September 4th, 2024 , is terminated.
