Henry Langreh turns 100 years old

On Tuesday, a WWII and POW, Henry Langreh’s turned 100 yrs old. When Henry was 18 yrs old, he enlisted in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division. On June 6th, 1944, Henry was on of thousands of soldiers who parachuted into France when Germany occupied it. On June 29th, 1944, Henry was captured by German soldiers. A year later Henry escaped in May 1945. Henry never talked about the experience he endured, until his children convinced him to share his story. So four years ago, Henry wrote his story in a book called “Whatever it Took.”
Henry said, “ The more I talked about it , the more I realized people have to know what was going on. And I spoke in schools, churches, conventions. God has watched over my wife and I all these years. We had a wonderful marriage. Really great, and I miss her a lot.”
Henry lives with honor and integrity, and aims to keep his word. Thank you for your courage and service, Henry.
