Angela Pritchard’s family appeal lawsuit against the Bellevue Police Department

A previous ruling which dismissed a civil lawsuit against the Bellevue Police Department,
the attorneys acting on behalf for Colton Hancock and Joshua Close, who are the sons of the late, Angela Pritchard, filed an appeal in federal court. The motion to put forward to “alter or amend judgment” in the case.
The estranged husband, Christopher Pritchard, was convicted of murdering Angela on October 8th, 2022 and was sentenced to life in prison. The sons filed a civil lawsuit stating their Mother, Angela Pritchard, was a result of “state created danger” created by the Bellevue Police Department to enforce the No Contact Order against Pritchard to protect Angela.
Last month, Federal Judge–C.J. Williams, dismissed the lawsuit stating, “it failed to show police conduct put – Angela Pritchard- at a significant risk of serious, immediate and proximate harm.” Adding the allege in action on the part of the Bellevue Police Department is not enough to amount to a state created danger.
In the new motion to appeal, the judge should reconsider his findings in light of new evidence of a video in which Bellevue Police Chief, Bud Schroeder, saying, “ his biggest fear was that Christopher Pritchard would hurt Angela Pritchard and then himself.” the motion also indicate that Pritchard had personal relationship with one or more department personnel leading to special treatment.
